Turn in your friends and neighbors at flag@whitehouse.gov

Posted by Amber Gunn - August 05, 2009

On August 4, the White House asked Americans to help stop the spread of disinformation about the government takeover of health ca--er, I mean, health insurance reform.

The communications director for the White House's Health Reform Office (because it needs its own propagan--sorry, spokesperson, to push the plan full-time) is asking Americans to send an email to flag@whitehouse.gov if they "get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy."

What are they going to do? Hunt down people who disagree with them? Here's hoping for some place warm.

Dear White House:

This Amber Gunn appears to be a radical. Please keep an eye on her.

Sincerely,

A concerned citizen

Think about this: the Administration is not actually looking for people who are spreading "disinformation"--they are looking for people who will fall in line with their views and who are willing to file reports on anyone who bears an ideological disagreement. It's child's play to trace the physical address of the URL address that posts a comment--grandmas can download "VisualRoute" to type in a URL with a posted date, and the actual location will magically appear. No, this is actually about finding recruits for the Administration. This is far worse--they are building an army.

When I first heard of this yesterday all I could see was this massive red fog. How much farther can we let this administration take us? I feel a little better today. I believe it was on the Red State blog where it is put forth that according to Art 5(?) U.S.C. Sec 552A, US agencies, including the Executive Office of the President shall "maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute ..." But then again, when has a little thing like the constitution stopped these people. Scary! I want to believe it is one more straw on the old camel's back and we have to be getting close to breakpoint.

This is what I reported:

"Some disinformation I have seen on the web

- Health Care reform is revenue neutral -

- Savings in Medicare will offset increased costs-
- 40 million plus uninsured Americans -

- No one will be forced to change their Health Care - "

I am actually surprised the administration has not retracted it by now. Just goes to show how over-confident they are.

Yup, evil and tyrannical to ask what people are saying. Yup. Awful.

Therefore, this blog should shut down at once. I have seen people post links here! And say things like "We'll keep an eye on this story"! Why would you say that unless you planned to hurt people?!?

I'm on to you.

I've been bombarding them with all of the lies told by the backers of the health care transformation/destruction bills out there and will continue to do so.

When the brownshirts either crash my computer or send out ACORN intimidators to "give me an offer I can't refuse", I'll get the word out somehow.
