Congress focusing on the issues that really matter
Posted by Ryan Harriman - April 30, 2008With soaring gas prices, a housing market crash, a massive food shortage and a looming recession on the horizon, we at EFF would like to take this moment to salute our elected officials in Congress for taking time out of their busy schedules to vote this week to designate National Watermelon Month and National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day.
So much for priorities of government!

And this news should shock us? The nation is sliding into the toilet and our elected officials are ready to flush it. They are supposed to be there representing us for the good of the nation, but they are so interested in pursuing self and political party agendas we all suffer. The rich get richer and the poor get well...nothing. So go ahead, while the poor people of this nation continue to suffer, pass more legislation on Watermelons at least the Funeral Directors and Morticians will have alot of business.
