Court slaps Brown down—get in line like everybody else!
Posted by Amber Gunn - March 06, 2008Senator Brown’s motion for accelerated review of her lawsuit against the supermajority vote for tax increases was DENIED.
The order just released by the supremes this afternoon denies the request for special treatment and requires Brown to follow the normal set of procedures required for writs of mandamus against state officers.
That means her “give me now” demand to hear the case before the 2009 legislative session was also denied.
Senator Brown’s lawsuit will go to the back of the line like everybody else, to be decided whether the case will head to Superior Court or the Supreme Court.
