Press coverage? We don't get no stinkin' press coverage!

As has been posted on the blog a lot in the last couple days, the Washington Education Association and the Washington Attorney General's office settled their nearly decade-old spat over how the WEA boosted money from school teachers to finance its political activity.
Per the settlement, WEA will have to pony up close to $1 million, which will come out of the pockets of individual school teachers. Kind of like a bailout by the membersip, if you know what I mean...
You'd think that news this big would be covered extensively by the papers in Washington, huh?
Give it a rest!
Gag me wih a spoon...
Something is seriously wrong when the French get more local news than the locals - and they get it objectively.
Vive la France!

Piper,
You must be new!
It's SOP.
Who do you think elects your officials? That's why it is so important to keep hammering away at the machine any way you can.
Wait until Obama starts fiddling with education. Woe is us.
